A New Journey, New Challenges
I was in awe of how much enthusiasm this collective group always had when it came to sharing their love for aviation with the general public. As a military pilot, I quickly became aware that I had very little knowledge of what it takes to run a successful aviation business. However, after spending a great deal of time with my newly found extended airshow family I developed the awareness that I wanted to learn more about the business as a whole. I fell in love with the fact that I could continue performing in airshows for the pure enjoyment of flying and I became fixated about learning how I could do just that.
At the time of writing this book, I am entering the final stages in my Air Force career. As I approach my retirement from an exhilarating and rewarding 20-year military career I find myself contemplating what my next life’s goal will be. I have a deep desire to continue learning about flying and I believe through discipline and focused effort that I can raise my flying to a new level.
Perhaps it is based on a deeply embedded fear within me, but I can openly and honestly say that I am not ready, nor willing, to slow down anytime in the near future.
